Based on your valuable feedback, three key areas for improvement have been identified.

These are the three areas recommended for improvement, along with the actions we have taken:

- “I am able to see a doctor quickly when I need to.”

To improve access to urgent care, we have increased the number of blocked appointment slots by introducing on-the-day appointments. These appointments cannot be booked in advance and are released only on the day, allowing us to better accommodate patients who need to be seen urgently.
. - “It is easy to make an appointment for a day and time that suits me.”

We recognise that this can be challenging due to the high daily demand for appointments. To help, we encourage patients to book ahead where possible. Our online appointment system has now been extended to allow bookings up to 45 days in advance, giving patients greater visibility of each doctor’s availability and more flexibility in choosing a suitable time.

This remains the most challenging area, as consultation times can vary depending on patient needs and clinical complexity. When we are aware of delays, we will notify patients in advance wherever possible. Upon arrival, patients will be given an estimated waiting time and offered the option to return at a mutually agreed, more suitable time if they prefer.

We understand that we may not always be able to meet every patient’s expectations; however, we are committed to continually improving our services and doing our very best to make each visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

The Renewed National Cervical Screening Program
The Renewal of the National Cervical Screening Program will be implemented on 1 December 2017.
Until the renewed National Cervical Screening Program is implemented, It is important that people aged between 18-69 years continue to have Pap tests every two years and talk to their doctor or healthcare provider if they have any questions.
The two yearly Pap test for people aged 18 to 69 will change to a five yearly human papillomavirus (HPV) test for people aged 25 to 74. People will be due for the first Cervical Screening Test two years after their last Pap test. The changes include:
- people will be invited when they are due to participate via the National Cancer Screening Register
- the Pap test will be replaced with the more accurate Cervical Screening Test
- the time between tests will change from two to five years
- the age at which screening starts will increase from 18 years to 25 years
- people aged 70 to 74 years will be invited to have an exit test.
People of any age who have symptoms such as unusual bleeding, discharge and pain should see their healthcare provider immediately.
HPV vaccinated people still require cervical screening as the HPV vaccine does not protect against all the types of HPV that cause cervical cancer.

No-Show Policy
A “No-Show” is someone who misses an appointment without cancelling it at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. No-Shows inconvenience those individuals who need access to medical care in a timely manner.
A failure to present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patients’ file as a “no-show”. An administrative fee of $75.00 will be billed to the patient’s account, (Cash or credit card payment only).
Work Cover / Work Compensation related No show appointment will be billed on your personal account and NOT thru insurance company.
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. Please call our receptionist on telephone number 02 4622 1555 to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled booking if you will be unable to keep your appointment. This allows our doctors to offer that time to another patient.
